The demonstration, which was shared on the official City Boy Movement social media account, showed Shehu introducing the platform and asking it to provide information about President Tinubu's achievements, particularly in infrastructure.
The presentation took place during Edun's visit to the movement's national headquarters in Abuja.
According to the City Boy Movement, AskCityBoy is an AI-powered platform designed to provide information and insights into the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu administration.
The platform is part of the movement's broader digital communication and political mobilisation strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development generated discussion during a television programme, where commentators described the use of artificial intelligence and digital platforms for political communication as part of the evolving relationship between technology and election campaigns.
One of the commentators observed that political organisations would increasingly deploy digital tools and social media to communicate their messages, mobilise supporters and promote their candidates.
The platform's introduction also raises questions about how AI-generated responses will distinguish between government achievements, official policy information, political messaging and independent assessments of public performance.
For AskCityBoy to serve as a credible information resource, its responses would need to be supported by verifiable government records, publicly available data and clearly identified sources.
As political mobilisation ahead of 2027 gathers momentum, the use of AI platforms by political movements is likely to become another feature of Nigeria's increasingly digital campaign environment.
