Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has rejected calls for her to face DJ Dimple Nipple in her next celebrity boxing bout, joking that she would rather take on content creator Jarvis.
The reality TV star reacted after comedian DeeOne suggested that DJ Dimple should be her next opponent following her victory over actress Nkechi Blessing.
In a video circulating online, Phyna appeared to dismiss the suggestion, saying she was not prepared to risk her life against DJ Dimple.
“Somebody said I should go and fight DJ Dimple. So you guys want her to send me to 6 feet? I’m not risking my life fighting a professional boxer like DJ Dimple. Give me Jarvis, she’s the one I want to fight.”
Her comment quickly generated reactions among fans, with many discussing the possibility of a Phyna-Jarvis celebrity boxing showdown.
DeeOne had challenged Phyna to consider a different opponent after her recent victory, arguing that she had been facing older celebrities.
He suggested DJ Dimple Nipple as a potential opponent and also mentioned other younger female entertainers, including Ilebaye and Tacha.
Phyna, however, appeared to have no interest in accepting the DJ Dimple challenge, instead putting Jarvis forward as the person she would like to face.
The exchange followed Phyna’s victory over Nkechi Blessing at Balmoral Promotions’ Chaos in the Ring event in Lagos on October 1.
Reports said Phyna stopped Nkechi Blessing in the fourth round of their scheduled four-round celebrity boxing contest.
Following the victory, Phyna also expressed interest in facing actress Etinosa Idemudia, adding another potential matchup to the growing conversation around her next appearance in the ring.
Despite the online calls for a Phyna-DJ Dimple showdown and Phyna’s request for Jarvis, no official fight involving either DJ Dimple or Jarvis has been announced.
Phyna’s description of DJ Dimple as a “professional boxer” was part of her explanation for declining the proposed matchup; that specific professional-status claim has not been independently established by the reports reviewed.
For now, Phyna has made her preference clear in the viral exchange: DJ Dimple is out, while Jarvis is the opponent she wants.
