The operation, which took place at about 8:00 p.m. on September 18, followed intelligence on the activities of suspected terrorists operating from a hideout in the community.
According to security reports, troops moved to the suspected hideout after receiving the intelligence and engaged the suspects in a gun battle.
One of the suspects, identified as Bashir Mohammed, was killed during the encounter, while other members of the group reportedly escaped with possible gunshot wounds.
Security sources said troops have commenced efforts to track the fleeing suspects as clearance operations continue in the area.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to dismantle suspected criminal and terrorist hideouts in Sanga and prevent armed groups from regrouping or carrying out further attacks on surrounding communities.
The reported operation comes amid continued security challenges in parts of Kaduna State, where military and other security agencies have maintained operations against terrorists and other criminal groups.
On September 20, troops of the same Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71 Sanga, were also reported to have arrested five suspected criminals and recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle during clearance operations across several communities in Sanga Local Government Area.
The latest operation underscores the role of intelligence-led military operations in identifying suspected hideouts and disrupting the activities of armed groups.
The Nigerian Army has continued to urge residents in affected communities to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with information on suspicious movements and activities.
