Korean Scientists Warn: Human Body May Not Survive Two Tinubu Tenures — Viral Claim Sparks Reactions

 A humorous claim circulating on social media has alleged that Korean scientists have discovered that the human body was not designed to endure two consecutive eight-year presidential tenures under Nigeria's political system.

The tongue-in-cheek claim, apparently referencing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the possibility of another four-year term after his current tenure, has sparked reactions online.

The post jokingly suggested that the human body could face an unprecedented biological challenge from spending as much as eight years under one administration.

However, there is no credible scientific evidence that Korean scientists made such a finding.

What is real is that South Korean researchers are actively studying human ageing and longevity. Researchers at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), for example, reported in March 2026 that they had identified a mechanism involving circular RNA that may help slow cellular ageing and extend lifespan.

Separately, international researchers continue to debate the biological limits of human longevity. Neither line of research, however, has established any connection between human longevity and serving under a particular Nigerian president.

Whether Nigerians find the joke amusing or exhausting, one thing remains scientifically clear: there is currently no Korean scientific study showing that the human body has a biological limit on the number of Tinubu administrations it can endure.
