Kaduna-based shoemaker Aaron Danjuma has taken to social media to promote locally made footwear, inviting Nigerians to patronise his handmade shoe brand, NEROLIT Apparel.
In a post on X on September 20, Danjuma asked users to recommend his brand to people looking for handmade shoes, while showcasing a pair of handmade boots listed at ₦75,000.
“Who is your plug for handmade shoes on the TL? Unplug him/her and plug me in jor,” he wrote while promoting the boots.
According to the post, the footwear is produced in Kaduna State, with nationwide and worldwide delivery available. The brand also accepts bulk orders.
Danjuma has previously attracted attention online for his shoemaking work, particularly for producing boots and sneakers from Kaduna.
A 2024 report by Legit.ng identified him as a Kaduna-based shoemaker and reported that he had learnt the craft for several years while developing his skills beyond the type of shoemaking he initially learnt.
More recent publicly available posts associated with Danjuma describe him as the creative director of NEROLIT Apparel, a Kaduna-based footwear brand focused on handmade shoes and other footwear.
His social media activity also shows the brand producing handmade sneakers, slides, boots and other customised footwear, with prices varying according to the design and product.
The latest promotion is part of a growing social-media-driven effort by Nigerian artisans and small businesses to take locally produced fashion products directly to customers across the country.
For Danjuma, the strategy combines online promotion with made-to-order and bulk footwear production, allowing customers outside Kaduna to order directly from the brand.
The NEROLIT promotion also highlights the growing role of social media platforms in helping Nigerian craftsmen reach customers beyond their immediate communities without relying solely on physical retail outlets.
