BlackFada Challenges Carter Efe to Fight, Demands He Stop Mentioning Wizkid if He Loses

Nigerian content creator Carter Efe has sparked fresh entertainment buzz after challenging Afrobeats star Wizkid to a boxing match, with RibsNPack Republic boss BlackFada, popularly known as BF, now throwing down a counter-challenge.

Carter Efe made the initial call during an interview with Yanga FM, saying he was willing to fight Wizkid without receiving payment, while suggesting the singer could be paid $1 million to participate. He also claimed that his 2022 hit song, Machala, contributed to Wizkid’s popularity and expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of acknowledgement from the singer. <Cite refs={["turn0search1","turn0search2"]} />

“I go like fight Wizkid. They can pay him $1 million and not pay me a kobo. I’ll beat him,” Carter Efe said, expressing confidence in his chances of winning the proposed bout.

The challenge has now attracted a response from BlackFada, also known as BF, the boss of RibsNPack Republic, who has challenged Carter Efe to face him in the ring instead.

BF’s challenge comes with a condition: if Carter Efe wins, BlackFada says he will respect him. However, if BF emerges victorious, Carter Efe must agree never to mention Wizkid’s name again.

The proposed contest, as described by BF, would therefore go beyond a physical showdown, placing Carter Efe’s continued public references to Wizkid at the centre of the challenge.

Carter Efe’s boxing call-out comes amid a long-running public disagreement over Machala, the tribute song that brought him widespread attention in 2022. He has repeatedly argued that both he and Wizkid benefited from the song’s success, while expressing disappointment over what he says was the singer’s failure to acknowledge his contribution. <Cite refs={["turn0search4","turn0search5"]} />

The latest exchange has added another twist to the online conversation involving Carter Efe, Wizkid and the singer’s fanbase, with the proposed fight now drawing in a new challenger.

However, there is no confirmed date, venue or formal fight agreement for a Carter Efe–BlackFada bout based on the information provided. BF’s challenge remains a public call-out unless the parties announce concrete arrangements.
