The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, has launched the Warri United Games at the Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
The initiative is designed to promote peace, unity and friendship among young people across the state through sports.
The first-of-its-kind programme is expected to provide a platform for youths from different backgrounds to interact, compete and build stronger bonds, while using sports as a tool for social cohesion.
The initiative has been widely welcomed as an intentional effort by the traditional institution to promote peace and unity in Warri and beyond.
