Social commentator Isaac Fayose has publicly criticized former presidential aide Reno Omokri over his frequent comparisons of Nigerian airport facilities with those in other countries, particularly in online discussions about infrastructure standards.
In a statement shared on social media, Fayose questioned whether Omokri had visited major international airports such as Dubai International Airport, arguing that there is a significant gap in infrastructure quality between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
“Where is this Reno Omokri who is always showing us clothes at Nigerian airports? Has he ever been to Dubai Airport?” Fayose said. “There is no comparison between the two, despite Nigeria having more mineral resources than them.”
He further suggested that Omokri should visit Dubai to better understand global standards of airport infrastructure, adding that exposure to world-class facilities could provide a clearer benchmark for evaluating Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Fayose’s remarks come amid ongoing public debate about the state of Nigerian airports, with frequent discussions on social media about modernization efforts, passenger experience, and infrastructure development.
As of the time of filing this report, Reno Omokri had not issued a response to the comments.
