Former Lagos State governorship candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has announced the passing of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour.
In a family statement signed by Olawale Rhodes-Vivour, the family expressed sadness over her death while giving thanks to God for what they described as a life well lived.
"With sadness in our hearts and gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the call to glory of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso)," the statement read.
The family described the late Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour as a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother whose life was marked by compassion and affection.
"A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. The epitome of love. She will be sorely missed," the statement added.
The family also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul and noted that details of her funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.
The announcement has attracted messages of condolence from friends, supporters, and members of the public, many of whom have expressed sympathy with the Rhodes-Vivour family during their period of mourning.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be communicated by the family at a later date.
