Civil Servants Describe Activities at Disowned PFIPC as Police Investigate Adeyemi

Three civil servants deployed from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) to the now-disowned Presidential Fiscal Intelligence and Policy Coordination (PFIPC) have provided accounts of their experiences at the agency, according to details published by Premium Times.

The report states that the officials, Ojo Victor, Omeh Amarachukwu, and Wakili Saidu, were interviewed by police investigators and have been listed as witnesses in a case involving the agency's Director-General, Adeyemi.

According to the report, the three officers were deployed by the OAGF on 28 August 2025 following a request purportedly submitted by Adeyemi seeking the posting of accounting and audit personnel to fill vacancies within the agency.

The request, dated 4 April 2025, reportedly asked for the deployment of officers to positions including Principal Accountant, Accountant I, Principal Auditor, Senior Auditor, and Auditor I. A separate letter also allegedly requested the formal deployment of two officials from the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser to the President for administrative purposes.

The three civil servants told investigators that they submitted their posting letters to Adeyemi on 1 September 2025 and resumed duty on 8 September 2025 after being instructed to do so. However, they claimed they were assigned a shared office but were never given official duties, work schedules, or operational documents.

According to their statements, they spent weeks reporting to the office without receiving assignments.

One of the officials, Victor, reportedly told investigators that the situation was unusual because none of the officers had been formally documented or assigned responsibilities despite assuming duty. Amarachukwu similarly stated that repeated complaints yielded no changes, adding that he eventually reduced his attendance because there was no work to perform.

Saidu also told investigators that although he reported to the office several days each week, there was no communication or assignment from the agency's leadership.

All three officials reportedly said they had never heard of the PFIPC before receiving their deployment letters.

The revelations form part of an ongoing police investigation into the activities of the now-disowned agency and the allegations against Adeyemi. Authorities have not yet disclosed the full outcome of the investigation, and the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.

At the time of reporting, neither Adeyemi nor his legal representatives had publicly responded to the claims attributed to the witnesses. The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation has also not issued a fresh statement regarding the matter beyond the reported deployment records.
