Wike Arrives for Commissioning of Federal High Court Judges’ Quarters in Katampe on Day 6 of FCT Project Inaugurations
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, on Day 6 of the ongoing project commissioning exercise in the nation's capital, arrived at the venue of the inauguration of the newly completed Federal High Court Judges’ Quarters in Katampe, Abuja.
The commissioning forms part of a series of infrastructure projects being unveiled by the FCT Administration as part of efforts to improve public facilities and support critical institutions within the Federal Capital Territory.
The event attracted top government officials, members of the judiciary, traditional rulers, political stakeholders, and residents who gathered to witness the formal inauguration of the residential quarters designed for judges of the Federal High Court.
The newly completed housing facility is expected to enhance the welfare of judicial officers by providing modern and secure accommodation within the capital city. Stakeholders have described the project as a significant contribution to strengthening the judicial system and improving working conditions for members of the bench.
Upon his arrival, Wike was received by senior government officials and project stakeholders ahead of the commissioning ceremony.
The inauguration is one of several projects scheduled for commissioning during the ongoing infrastructure rollout programme being undertaken by the FCT Administration. The projects span key sectors including transportation, housing, public service infrastructure, and urban development.
Speaking at previous commissioning events, Wike has reiterated the administration's commitment to delivering projects that improve the quality of life for residents and support the efficient functioning of government institutions.
Observers say the completion of the Federal High Court Judges’ Quarters underscores the government's efforts to provide adequate infrastructure for the judiciary, which remains a critical pillar of Nigeria's democratic system.
The project is expected to provide a more conducive living environment for judges while contributing to the broader development objectives of the Federal Capital Territory.
The commissioning ceremony marks another milestone in the FCT Administration's ongoing drive to expand and modernize infrastructure across Abuja and its surrounding districts.
