Aisha Yesufu Begins Thank-You Tour Across FCT Area Councils, Endorses Obi–Kwankwaso Alliance

Prominent Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu, has announced the commencement of a “thank you visitation” tour across the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory, stating that her civic engagement will continue regardless of political outcomes.

In a statement shared during her visit, Yesufu noted that her service to the people would not be halted by her inability to secure a primary ticket in a previous political process, emphasizing her continued commitment to grassroots mobilization and civic advocacy.

“My first stop was Kwali, and my message to all is simply: Let’s focus on the Obi/Kwankwaso ticket,” she said.

The visit began in Kwali, where she engaged with supporters and community members as part of what she described as a broader effort to appreciate and reconnect with grassroots supporters across the region.

Her comments also referenced a political alignment involving former presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, urging supporters to focus attention on the proposed “Obi/Kwankwaso ticket.”

The statement has already generated discussion across political circles and social media, with supporters describing it as a call for opposition unity, while critics question the feasibility and political implications of such an alliance.

Yesufu, known for her activism and role in civic movements, has remained a prominent voice in Nigeria’s political discourse, often advocating for electoral participation, accountability, and governance reforms.

As the tour continues across the remaining FCT area councils, further engagements are expected to draw attention from both political stakeholders and the public.
