Nigerian entrepreneur BLord has shared his experience following his reported stay at the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja, describing what he called “VIP treatment” during his detention.
In a circulating statement, BLord claimed he was housed in a section of the facility reserved for high-profile inmates, alleging that his conditions were significantly more comfortable than what is typically associated with prison environments.
He further stated that he had access to personal amenities, including prepared meals and household appliances, describing his time in custody as a form of “vacation,” though the claims could not be independently verified.
The businessman contrasted his experience with that of activist VeryDarkMan, alleging that other categories of detainees are kept in different sections of the facility depending on the nature of their alleged offences. However, prison authorities have not confirmed any of these claims.
The Nigeria Correctional Service has yet to issue an official response regarding the statements, and there is no publicly verified evidence supporting the specific conditions described.
Kuje Correctional Centre has previously drawn national attention due to security concerns and past incidents, prompting ongoing discussions about prison reforms and inmate welfare in Nigeria.
As of the time of reporting, authorities have not commented on BLord’s claims.
