A woman identified as Diamond Princess Obi has publicly accused the family of former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel of years of emotional distress and alleged domestic abuse, as she announced her intention to divorce Toni Obi, Mikel’s brother.
In an emotional video shared online, Diamond Princess claimed that she endured 18 years of suffering, humiliation, and mistreatment not only from her husband but also from multiple members of the Obi family. She described a pattern of hostility and rejection throughout her marriage.
According to her, the latest incident occurred during a condolence visit following the reported death of Mikel Obi’s sister, Chioma Obi. She alleged that she and her children were publicly embarrassed and physically pushed by family members, an experience she described as “humiliating and painful.”
Diamond Princess insisted that she had done nothing to deserve the treatment and demanded that the Obi family publicly clarify what she supposedly did to warrant years of insults, neglect, and abuse.
She further stated that she intends to share her full story publicly to raise awareness and advise other women to be cautious in relationships where persistent hostility comes from a partner’s family.
Expressing deep emotional distress, Diamond Princess emphasized that she is now focused on healing and moving forward with her life but remains committed to seeking justice and accountability for the alleged mistreatment she endured.
The revelation has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many expressing sympathy for her plight while calling for sensitivity and fairness in handling family disputes in the public eye.
