Alleged APC Thug Sparks Outrage Over Threats Linked to 2027 Elections

A man identified online as Kesari, reportedly associated with the ruling party, has sparked widespread condemnation after making threatening remarks tied to future elections and party support.

In a viral statement, Kesari allegedly warned individuals against voting against the All Progressives Congress, saying those who refuse could face violence.

“If you don’t vote APC I will beat the hell out of you. Tinubu will be the first President to go for 3 terms in Nigeria. If you don’t agree I will beat you up,” he was quoted as saying.

The comments have triggered strong reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the use of threats and violence in political discourse. Civil society observers say such statements undermine democratic principles and could escalate tensions ahead of future elections.

The remarks also referenced Bola Ahmed Tinubu, drawing additional attention due to the constitutional implications of presidential term limits in Nigeria.

As of the time of filing this report, the APC has not issued an official response to the alleged comments, and the identity or official standing of Kesari within the party remains unverified.

Security analysts and political commentators continue to urge restraint and emphasize the importance of peaceful political engagement, warning that inflammatory rhetoric could heighten political divisions.
