Baba Ijesha Denies Allegations in Emotional Interview, Defends Reputation

Embattled Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju James Omiyinja, has strongly denied all allegations against him in a recent interview on the Talk to B Podcast, describing social media narratives as misleading and damaging.

The actor emphasized his innocence, stating:

“I am not a paedophile, I am not a rapist, and I will never be.”

Baba Ijesha claimed he has never had any romantic or physical relationship with actress Princess, adding, “I never asked her out, never dated her, never hugged or kissed her.” He further alleged that Princess is known for falling out with people close to her and has “betrayed everyone she has been friends with.”

The actor also addressed actress Iyabo Ojo, revealing that she once entrusted him with her children, Priscilla and her brother, when they were younger. He described feeling deep hurt over the situation but maintained that he would never harm her, calling her his “product.”

Defending his character, Baba Ijesha swore:

“If it is true I committed such an act, let me not come back from prison, let me die there.”

He claimed to have a witness to corroborate his version of events and criticized social media for amplifying misinformation, describing it as “a devil’s platform” that has worsened his ordeal.

The interview highlights the continued controversy surrounding the actor, with public opinion divided between those calling for accountability and others questioning the accuracy of online narratives. Observers say the case underscores broader discussions about celebrity accountability, child protection, and the impact of social media on legal and personal reputations.
