A political commentator known online as Cyborg Warlord has stirred debate on social media after predicting a series of political developments in Kano following the recent engagement between Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi and former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In a widely circulated post, the commentator suggested that the political alliance or “linkup” between Obi and Kwankwaso could trigger counter-moves from supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, popularly referred to as the “City Boys.”
According to the prediction, Kano may witness increased political activity, including large-scale distribution of food items such as rice as part of grassroots mobilization efforts.
The post also speculated that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) could revisit investigations related to Kwankwaso’s tenure as governor, a claim that has not been confirmed by authorities.
Additionally, the commentator alleged that activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore might organize protests in Kano around emerging social or political issues.
The claims remain speculative and have not been substantiated by official statements from any political party, government institution, or the individuals mentioned.
Political observers say such online predictions reflect rising political tension ahead of future electoral cycles, as alliances, regional influence, and party strategies continue to shape Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
As discussions spread online, analysts have urged the public to treat unverified political forecasts cautiously and rely on confirmed information from credible sources while monitoring developments in Kano and across the country.
