Nigerian music star and entrepreneur Mr. Eazi has opened up about one of the toughest experiences of his early life, revealing that he once lost a whopping ₦19 million in a failed business venture at just 19 years old.

Speaking in a recent conversation, the Skin Tight crooner disclosed that he had borrowed the money from his uncle with hopes of breaking into the diesel supply business. Unfortunately, just three months later, the venture collapsed, wiping out the entire ₦19 million investment.

“At 19 I borrowed ₦19 million from my uncle to go into the diesel business, three months later the business crashed and I lost the whole ₦19 million,” Mr. Eazi recounted.

The artist, who has since grown into one of Africa’s most successful independent musicians and investors, said the loss taught him resilience, financial discipline, and the importance of taking risks.

Fans have praised Mr. Eazi for his transparency, noting that his story is a reminder that setbacks are often stepping stones to success. Today, beyond music, he runs several ventures across tech, real estate, and entertainment, proving that failure does not define one’s future.
