Nigerian businessman and nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana ChiefPriest, has expressed deep frustration over the state of Nigeria’s healthcare system, describing it as “a joke.”
In a post shared with his followers, the popular socialite recounted his recent encounter with the healthcare sector, which left him disappointed and worried about the plight of ordinary Nigerians who cannot afford alternatives abroad.
ChiefPriest lamented that despite the huge resources available in the country, hospitals remain poorly equipped, medical staff are overworked, and patients are often left without adequate care.
“Healthcare is a joke in this country. My recent experience opened my eyes more. The average Nigerian is suffering because of the poor system,” he said.
His remarks have sparked conversations across social media, with many Nigerians echoing similar frustrations over dilapidated facilities, lack of medical supplies, and frequent strikes by healthcare workers.
Some called on the government to prioritize healthcare reforms, while others noted that many wealthy citizens continue to fly abroad for treatment, further highlighting the gap between the privileged and the masses.
Cubana ChiefPriest’s outcry adds to growing calls for urgent action to overhaul Nigeria’s struggling health sector.
