Governor Alex Otti, Wife Attend Special Anniversary Service at MFM Umuahia Headquarters

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, and his wife, Priscilla Chidimma Otti, yesterday worshipped at the South East Region VI Headquarters of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in Amuzukwu, Umuahia, as part of activities marking the 8th anniversary of the Regional Overseer, Olugbenga Aremu.

The anniversary service celebrated eight years of Pastor Aremu’s spiritual leadership and service in Abia State. Addressing the congregation, Governor Otti commended the church for remaining steadfast in faith during difficult periods in the state’s history, noting that persistent prayers and hope for positive change have begun to yield results.

He described Pastor Aremu’s posting to Umuahia as divinely ordained, saying God does not make mistakes and has used the cleric as a vessel of blessing to the people. The governor encouraged worshippers not to lose hope when answers to prayers appear delayed, stressing that divine timing often differs from human expectations.

Reflecting on his political journey, Otti recounted contesting the governorship in 2015 and 2019 without success before eventually emerging victorious, saying the experience strengthened his faith and conviction about God’s promises. He urged believers to remain prayerful, hardworking, and consistent in pursuing their visions.

The governor said his administration is God-fearing and committed to restoring the dignity of Abia residents without discrimination, emphasizing that anyone living and working in the state is considered part of Abia. He also disclosed that newly recruited teachers and 649 health workers employed by the government have resumed duties, noting that not all are indigenes of the state.

Special prayers were offered for the governor, his family, and the state during the service, with Pastor Aremu declaring continued strength and grace for the administration’s work.

Top government officials present included the National Secretary of the Labour Party, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Austin Okezie Nmeregeni, Transport Commissioner Chimezie Ukaegbu, and Umuahia North Mayor Smart Ihuoma.
