FCT Minister Nyesom Wike Signs Deal to Upgrade Jabi Lake District, Warns Against Breach of Development Terms



The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has formalized an agreement with two private firms to spearhead the redevelopment and modernization of the Jabi Lake district in Abuja.

In a statement released following the signing, Wike emphasized that the project would transform the area into a well-planned urban hub, while maintaining strict compliance with approved development standards. He further stated that any existing allocations found to violate the development terms would be revoked, signaling a commitment to orderly urban planning and enforcement of regulations.

The agreement covers infrastructure improvements, environmental management, and urban amenities aimed at boosting commercial and recreational activities in the district.
