Activist and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has accused Governors Nyesom Wike and Seyi Makinde of orchestrating internal drama within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) while allegedly collaborating with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement released on social media, Adeyanju claimed that the political maneuvering and public disagreements within the PDP are part of a larger scheme benefiting the ruling party, suggesting that some opposition leaders are simultaneously undermining their own party for personal or strategic gains.
He said, “Wike and Makinde’s acting drama in the PDP crisis is clear; they are working for Tinubu while pretending to fight internal battles. Nigerians should read between the lines.”
The comments have stirred reactions online, with supporters of the PDP defending the governors and criticizing Adeyanju’s allegations as speculative, while others argue it highlights growing distrust and factionalism within the opposition.
Neither Wike nor Makinde has publicly responded to the accusations. Political analysts note that the remarks underscore the fragility of party cohesion ahead of upcoming elections and the complex interplay of alliances, personal ambitions, and strategic positioning in Nigerian politics.
