The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr. Zacch A. Adedeji, hosted the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mr. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, at the NRS Headquarters in Abuja during a courtesy visit aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two agencies.
The meeting focused on deepening collaboration in oil and gas revenue collection, with both leaders emphasizing the need for improved coordination, transparency, and efficiency in managing revenues from the upstream petroleum sector.
Dr. Adedeji highlighted the importance of leveraging synergies between NRS and NUPRC to ensure that government earnings from the sector are maximized and effectively contribute to national development objectives.
Mr. Eyesan expressed NUPRC’s commitment to working closely with the NRS to streamline processes and strengthen regulatory compliance, ensuring that the upstream petroleum industry supports Nigeria’s economic growth.
