Musa Oshodi Endorsed as Judo President as Leadership Crisis in Nigeria Judo Federation Ends

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has announced the resolution of the prolonged leadership crisis rocking the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF), with Musa Oshodi officially endorsed as the President of the federation.

In a statement released on Monday, the NSC confirmed that the endorsement followed extensive consultations and interventions aimed at restoring stability and unity within the sport. The commission noted that the decision was taken in the best interest of Nigerian judo and in line with established sports governance principles.

The leadership crisis had, for months, disrupted administrative activities and stalled the development of judo across the country. With Oshodi’s endorsement, stakeholders are optimistic that normalcy will return, allowing the federation to focus on athlete development, competitions, and international representation.

Reacting to the development, sports administrators and athletes welcomed the decision, describing it as a timely step toward rebuilding confidence and moving the sport forward in Nigeria.

The NSC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring peace, transparency, and proper governance across all national sports federations.
