The music world is reeling as Big_Badda, a childhood friend of late musician Destiny Boy, has revealed new details surrounding the circumstances of his untimely death.
In an emotional statement shared online, Big_Badda recounted that Destiny Boy, in early 2020, confided in him about his burning ambition to rise rapidly in the music industry and achieve global recognition, aspiring to surpass stars like Davido, Wizkid, and Olamide. Big_Badda said he advised Destiny Boy to be patient and trust in God’s timing, emphasizing that success achieved rightly lasts longer.
“Sadly, he said he could no longer wait. As a close friend, I failed him,” Big_Badda lamented. He revealed that Destiny Boy sought the help of a spiritual practitioner in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, popularly known as Baba Ikudaisi or Ikudaisi Osha, to perform a ritual promising fame. The ritual allegedly guaranteed Destiny Boy would be globally recognized and have a five-year peak in his career, but the potential consequences of the practice were not disclosed.
Tragically, Big_Badda explained that the first signs of trouble emerged when another friend, singer Bolisco, called to report that Destiny Boy was vomiting blood. Despite rushing to his house, Big_Badda arrived too late. Destiny Boy had already passed away.
“I pray that his soul rests in perfect peace and that God, in His mercy, forgives him and grants him eternal rest in paradise,” Big_Badda concluded, expressing his deep grief and shock over the loss of his friend.
