YOFIN Holds Familiarization Visit to Plateau Agricultural Development Program

In a bid to strengthen collaboration and enhance youth participation in agriculture, a representative of the Young Farmers of Nigeria (YOFIN) recently conducted a familiarization visit to the Plateau Agricultural Development Program (PADP).

The visit, attended solely by the YOFIN representative due to proximity, aimed to introduce the organization and explore potential partnerships with PADP. During the engagement, the YOFIN representative met with Mr. Mamsing Julius, Director of Extension Services at PADP, who warmly received the guest and engaged in discussions about youth empowerment, capacity building, and food security initiatives.

While the Program Manager of PADP was unavailable at the time, Mr. Julius expressed interest in YOFIN’s objectives and activities. He advised that YOFIN submit an official introductory letter on its letterhead, detailing the executive leadership and Local Government Area (LGA) representatives. The letter is to be addressed to the PADP Program Manager to facilitate formal engagement and potential collaboration.

The visit marked a successful step toward building a formal relationship between YOFIN and PADP, with the next phase involving the submission of the introductory letter as recommended. This engagement underscores YOFIN’s commitment to promoting youth involvement in agriculture and collaborating with government programs to enhance agricultural development across Plateau State.
