A Nigerian man has sparked conversation online after declaring that sex is a deeply spiritual act designed by God exclusively for married couples.
In his message, which has since gained attention on social media, he cautioned against premarital and extramarital sex, warning that it can cause lasting damage to one’s life.
“Sex is highly spiritual. God designed it just for married couples. Stop having sex outside of marriage—you are damaging your life. Repent today if you still engage in sex outside of marriage,” he said.
The statement has drawn mixed reactions from the public. While some applauded his stance as a bold reminder of moral and religious values, others argued that his message was judgmental and out of touch with modern realities.
Clerics and family counselors often emphasize similar views, describing sexual intimacy as sacred and meant to strengthen the marital bond. However, debates around sexuality, morality, and personal freedom continue to stir controversy in Nigeria’s largely religious but socially diverse society.
