The Nigerian Army says its snipers are playing an increasingly decisive role in ongoing counter-terrorism operations, reshaping the battlefield through precision tactics and intelligence-driven engagements.
According to military sources, specially trained snipers recently executed a coordinated ambush in Kurawa Village, where they successfully established a kill-zone that neutralised 11 armed terrorists before the insurgents could initiate any attack.
The operation was reportedly based on actionable intelligence, allowing troops to track the movement of the armed group and position themselves strategically. By engaging the terrorists from concealed vantage points, the snipers prevented direct contact with civilians and other security personnel, minimising collateral damage.
