Man Alleges Police Brutality After Refusing Bribe During Bag Search

Linus Nwosu has publicly cried out, alleging that he was beaten by Nigerian police officers after he refused to give them money and recorded them during a search of his bags.

According to Nwosu, the incident occurred when police officers demanded cash as part of a routine search. When he refused and began recording the officers’ actions, he claims they responded with physical violence, leaving him injured and traumatized.

The allegation has sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians condemning the reported abuse and calling for accountability within the police force. Activists have highlighted that such incidents raise concerns about corruption, excessive use of force, and the violation of citizens’ rights.

As of now, there has been no official response from the Nigerian Police Force regarding the allegations, and it remains unclear whether an investigation has been launched into Nwosu’s claims.

The incident adds to ongoing national debates about police reform, transparency, and the treatment of citizens during routine security checks.
