The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to restoring order and ensuring the responsible use of public spaces across the state.
This follows a recent enforcement operation conducted by KAI operatives in key areas, including Ketu, Mile 12, Ikosi Road, and the 7UP corridor. The operation led to the arrest of twenty individuals involved in street begging and other related activities. According to the authorities, this action forms part of an ongoing mop-up exercise aimed at curbing environmental infractions, safeguarding public safety, and preventing activities that disrupt traffic flow and sanitation. Those apprehended have been handed over to the relevant authorities for profiling and further action.
The Lagos State Government has emphasized that such enforcement measures will continue across the state. Residents are being urged to support these efforts by reporting locations where illegal or unsafe activities persist.
“Our goal is to keep Lagos clean, orderly, and safe for everyone,” the state government stated, reaffirming its commitment to the enforcement of environmental laws and the protection of public spaces.
