FCDA Accused of Forcefully Entering River Park Estate Despite Court Order

Residents of River Park Estate have accused the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) of forcibly gaining access to the estate by breaking the perimeter fence, in apparent defiance of a court injunction.

According to reports, the FCDA officials arrived at the estate early in the day and allegedly dismantled part of the security fence to enter the premises. Residents claim that the action occurred despite an existing court order restraining any form of forced entry or demolition within the estate.

Many estate residents expressed outrage, describing the move as a blatant violation of legal authority and an infringement on their property rights. Social media posts and videos circulating online show the aftermath of the incident, including damaged fencing and heightened tensions among security personnel and FCDA operatives.

The FCDA has yet to issue an official statement explaining the rationale behind the forceful entry. Legal experts suggest that such actions could lead to further litigation, as the court order remains in force.

Residents and their representatives have vowed to pursue all legal avenues to protect their properties and ensure compliance with the court ruling. The incident has reignited debates over urban planning, land ownership, and the enforcement of government directives in Abuja.

Authorities are being urged to resolve the matter peacefully and lawfully to avoid escalating tensions and potential conflict between estate residents and government agencies.
