Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has made his first public statement since recent controversy involving his wife and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru began trending online.
In a brief message shared on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, the singer simply wrote: “Help me.”
The post came hours after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, expressed concern on Instagram, pairing his message with lyrics from one of 2Face’s songs. Hyacinth wrote, “You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time… Painful reality. Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
The situation follows weeks of public drama between 2Face and Osawaru. Reports indicate the tension began in the United Kingdom, where the couple allegedly had a heated exchange that involved police intervention and a brief arrest of the singer. The matter resurfaced during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where both parties were seen arguing on camera.
The incidents have fueled speculation about a possible crisis in the marriage, prompting concern from fans about the singer’s well-being.
As of the time of filing this report, neither 2Face nor Natasha Osawaru has issued a detailed statement addressing the situation.
