Nigerian Army Set to Enlist 24,000 New Recruits

The Nigerian Army has announced plans to enlist 24,000 new recruits as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen national security, bolster manpower, and enhance operational capacity across the country.

According to military sources, the large-scale recruitment drive is aimed at addressing current security challenges, reinforcing troops deployed in various operational theatres, and preparing the force for emerging threats. The enlistment process is expected to cut across all geopolitical zones, ensuring fair representation and equal opportunities for eligible Nigerians.

Officials say the recruitment aligns with the Army’s strategic vision to modernize its personnel structure and inject fresh energy into its ranks. The new intake will undergo rigorous screening, medical evaluations, and comprehensive military training.

A senior Army officer noted that the enlistment would not only support ongoing counter-terrorism and internal security operations but also create employment opportunities for thousands of young Nigerians willing to serve their country.

The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to transparency in the selection process and warned applicants against engaging with fraudsters or unofficial channels. All interested individuals are expected to apply through the Army’s official recruitment portal and designated centres nationwide.

With this move, the Nigerian Army hopes to strengthen its operational readiness and enhance national defense capabilities amid evolving security dynamics.
