A video of Nigerian preacher Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has gone viral after he made divisive comments about religious violence in the country while expressing support for foreign intervention.
In the clip, the cleric alleged bias in the handling of terrorism-related issues and mentioned former U.S. president Donald Trump, saying he supported stronger international pressure on Nigeria’s security situation.
His remarks drew widespread criticism from both Christian and Muslim groups, who condemned the language as unhelpful and potentially dangerous in a country already struggling with religious tension.
Faith leaders and civic organizations have since called for restraint, urging Nigerians to avoid hate speech and focus instead on peace-building and national unity.
Government officials have not yet responded to the viral comments, but analysts warn that spreading religious generalizations online can inflame existing divisions.
