Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has dismissed viral reports claiming that he has passed away.
In a statement shared on Thursday, Agu urged fans and the general public to disregard the unfounded rumors, stressing that he is alive and well.
“Please disregard any rumors about my d3ath… I am very much alive by God’s grace,” the actor said.
The much-loved thespian, known for his witty expressions and memorable roles in Nollywood movies, expressed gratitude to God for life and to his fans for their concern.
This is not the first time a Nigerian celebrity has been targeted by fake death reports. Fans and colleagues have since taken to social media to celebrate Agu, reaffirming their love for him and condemning the spread of false news.
The actor, who has contributed decades of work to the Nigerian film industry, assured the public that he remains committed to his craft and urged everyone to be cautious about spreading unverified information.
