Nigerians React as B Lord Maintains Price of Modified XR at ₦450,000 Despite Market Complaints

Social media is buzzing with mixed reactions after popular tech entrepreneur and influencer B Lord reportedly insisted on maintaining the ₦450,000 price tag for his modified XR device, despite public calls for a price review.

According to online discussions, several Nigerians expressed frustration, lamenting that while other sellers claimed to offer the same product for as low as ₦280,000, many of those cheaper alternatives are either unavailable or still “on the way from China.”

“B Lord still stand on him price oo! He’s still selling the modified XR for ₦450k,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “He even said the one wey dey sell am ₦280k never bring am from China till now.”

The debate has since gone viral, with supporters and critics weighing in on whether B Lord’s pricing is fair or inflated.

Some users defended him, saying his devices are readily available, well-tested, and come with after-sales support, unlike the cheaper versions that are often delayed, substandard, or without warranty.

“At least when you buy from B Lord, you know what you’re getting. Quality no be the same thing as cheap,” a fan commented.

Others, however, accused him of overpricing and taking advantage of his brand name to sell at a premium.

“We know things are hard, but ₦450k for modified XR? That’s steep abeg,” another person wrote.

As the online debate intensifies, industry watchers note that the controversy reflects broader concerns about price hikes, scarcity of imported goods, and rising exchange rates affecting Nigerian consumers.

For now, B Lord appears unmoved by the backlash, maintaining that his price reflects authenticity, reliability, and immediate availability — while cheaper alternatives remain stuck abroad.
