Sowore Petitions Florida Attorney General Over Wike’s Alleged Properties in U.S.

Sahara Reporters founder, journalist, and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has officially petitioned the Attorney General of Florida regarding properties allegedly unlawfully acquired in the state by Nigeria’s FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

In the petition, Sowore urged Florida authorities to take decisive action by forfeiting the identified properties, prosecuting those involved, and imposing a visa ban on Mr. Wike.

According to him, the properties in question were allegedly acquired with illicit funds, raising serious concerns about corruption and financial crimes tied to public office.

“We cannot continue to allow corrupt politicians to launder public funds abroad while Nigerians suffer at home,” Sowore insisted in his filing.

The development is already generating heated conversations both in Nigeria and abroad, as observers now await the official response of the American authorities.

Analysts suggest that if the petition gains traction, it could trigger a new phase of international scrutiny into the alleged financial dealings of high-ranking Nigerian officials.

“There will be interesting days ahead,” Sowore noted, as Nigerians watch closely for what could be a defining moment in the global fight against corruption.
