Authorities in Lagos have arrested a top official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in connection with the death of a dispatch rider.
The official, identified as Shamsideen Oladiti, also known as Shamelon, allegedly beat the rider to death on Lagos Island, sparking outrage across the city. Law enforcement moved quickly following the incident, taking the suspect into custody to face investigation and potential prosecution.
