Social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has once again stirred controversy after launching a fiery response to nightlife entrepreneur Obi Cubana.
In a viral video making the rounds, VDM dismissed Cubana’s relevance in national discourse, saying he had never heard him speak on any important issue affecting Nigerians.
VDM said:
“Go and sit your a$$ down, I don’t know you from anywhere. They never hear your voice for any important issue, na to dey carry money dey spray up and down. Youths dey find job, you dey bring alcohol. I don't worship you or your money. Do you pay my bills? Do the blogs pay my bills? If you put your mouth for this matter, you go collect.”
The statement has triggered heated debates online, with some Nigerians applauding VDM for calling out wealthy elites who shy away from social issues, while others criticized his blunt approach, insisting that Cubana has contributed positively to youth empowerment and business in the country.
This latest outburst adds to VDM’s growing list of online clashes with high-profile figures, further cementing his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most outspoken critics of the elite.
