The Federal Government has announced the inclusion of Chinese (Mandarin) as part of the national curriculum for senior secondary schools across Nigeria.
The move follows a recent review of the country’s educational framework and aims to equip students with global language skills, enhance cultural exchange, and prepare them for opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world.
Education experts have welcomed the decision, noting that learning Mandarin can open doors in international business, diplomacy, and technology, giving Nigerian students a competitive edge.
