Fans on social media are urging Ghanaian singer Lasmid to release his unreleased collaboration with late Nigerian rapper and singer Mohbad, arguing that proceeds from the track could be directed towards supporting Mohbad’s family.
A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) read:
“I think @Lasmidofficial should release this song, yeah! At least to allocate major revenue from it to the family or something. But this song must be released!”
The yet-to-be-released song has generated excitement among fans who believe it would not only honor Mohbad’s memory but also provide financial support to his loved ones, especially as controversies around his estate and legacy continue.
Since Mohbad’s passing in September 2023, many of his unfinished works and collaborations have been subjects of discussion, with supporters insisting that they should be officially released rather than kept in the archives.
As of now, Lasmid has not issued any official statement on whether he plans to drop the song.
