Sommie, a talented News Anchor, Reporter, and Producer, tragically lost her life in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following an armed robbery incident at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja. The matter is currently under investigation by the Nigeria Police.
At only 29, Sommie was not just a gifted broadcaster but also a trained lawyer, whose professionalism, warmth, and dedication left an indelible mark on the ARISE News family and our viewers around the world.
Her sudden passing is a devastating loss to her colleagues, family, and friends. We extend our heartfelt condolences to her parents, siblings, loved ones, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though her voice is now silent, her passion, spirit, and legacy will forever live on in our hearts. We join countless others in mourning this tragedy and call for a swift investigation to ensure justice is served.
