Amaechi: Nigeria Must Harness God-Given Resources to Improve Lives

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has emphasized the need for Nigeria to fully deploy its abundant natural and human resources to uplift citizens and secure the future of coming generations.

Speaking in a recent statement, Amaechi said:

“Our focus is to use our God-given resources to improve the quality of lives of our present and future generations.”

He noted that Nigeria is blessed with vast wealth in minerals, agriculture, energy, and human capital, but successive governments have often failed to maximize these endowments for sustainable growth.

Amaechi stressed that the country’s priority should be people-centered development, ensuring that investments in infrastructure, education, and healthcare directly translate into better living conditions for Nigerians today, while laying the foundation for future prosperity.

His comments come amid ongoing debates about the nation’s economic direction, revenue challenges, and calls for diversification away from oil dependence.
