Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin has opened up about his turbulent teenage years, sharing a heartfelt reflection on the challenges he faced while growing up.
According to Franklin, his youthful days were marked by reckless choices, from experimenting with cigarettes and alcohol to living a wild, undisciplined lifestyle that caused his mother immense pain.
“I was lost, and I gave my mother more trouble than she deserved,” he admitted. “I lacked direction and that male voice to show me another way. There were times I came home completely drunk and saw my mother’s tears—it breaks me today to remember.”
The actor emphasized that despite his struggles, those experiences shaped him into who he is today. He credited his growth and redemption to his mother’s resilience and refusal to give up on him.
“My story is one of struggle, but also of redemption. And I owe it all to my mother,” Franklin concluded.
