The triumphant squad paraded the coveted trophy through the city, captivating fans with spirited chants, flags, and cheers.
Fresh from Abuja, where each player and technical team member was honoured with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and USD 100,000 cash rewards by President Tinubu, the Falcons landed in Lagos to roaring applause.

An open-top bus, adorned with Nigeria’s green and white colors, traversed key landmarks including Costain, Eko Bridge, Apogbon, Obalende, Ikoyi Road, and Victoria Island, before concluding at Eko Hotel & Suites.y
Massive crowds lined the parade route, waving national flags, dancing, chanting players’ names, and celebrating the team’s iconic comeback win in Morocco — despite trailing 2‑0, the Falcons mounted a remarkable second-half fightback to clinch the trophy 3‑2.
Mission X Achieved: The team’s coach, Justine Madugu, dubbed this campaign “Mission X”—a direct effort to reclaim continental dominance. Nigeria topped its group stage without conceding and executed a dramatic final comeback to secure their 10th WAFCON title.
