Nigerian music executive and artist manager, Soso Soberekon, has pledged a ₦20 million prize to facilitate a rematch between artists Speed Darlington and Portable.
This follows their recent celebrity boxing match, which ended in a victory for Portable. Darlington has since contested the outcome, alleging that Portable used "juju" (traditional charms) to secure the win and demanding a rematch .Soberekon responded to Darlington's call for a rematch by offering the substantial prize money, stating, "Rematch 20m for the winner. @speeddarlintv you have my number or tell the promoters to reach out to me." This gesture has sparked excitement among fans and the entertainment community .
The initial match, dubbed "Chaos in the Rings," took place on April 18 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. The upcoming rematch is anticipated to draw significant attention, with Soberekon's involvement adding credibility and financial backing to the event.
As of now, no official date has been set for the rematch, but the offer from Soberekon has reignited discussions about a potential showdown between the two artists.
