Remo Stars have clinched their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, defeating Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Olamilekan Adedayo scored the decisive goal in the 84th minute, securing the championship for the Sky Blue Stars.This victory marks a historic achievement for the club, ending a 15-year wait since its establishment. Under the guidance of head coach Daniel Ogunmodede, Remo Stars have demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the season, finishing atop the league table with 68 points from 35 matches. The club's success is also notable for being the first privately owned team to win the NPFL title since Udoji United in 1996.
The triumph is particularly significant for the South West region, as Remo Stars become the first club from this area to win the NPFL title in 25 years, following Julius Berger's victory in 2000
