Jubilation as Imole Youth Corps Beneficiaries Receive First Salaries Under Governor Ademola Adeleke's Administration

A wave of excitement has swept across Osun State as beneficiaries of the Imole Youth Corps received their inaugural monthly stipends today.

This marks a significant milestone in Governor Ademola Adeleke's commitment to addressing youth unemployment and fostering grassroots development.​

The Imole Youth Corps, inaugurated in February 2025, engaged 10,000 youths from all 332 political wards in Osun State. The initiative aims to provide employment opportunities in sectors such as health, security, environment, and education, thereby contributing to the state's socio-economic growth. ​

Governor Adeleke expressed his administration's dedication to tackling unemployment, stating that over 250,000 jobs have been created in the past two years through various programs, including the Imole Youth Corps and the agropreneur initiative. 

The monthly stipend of ₦30,000 per beneficiary is aimed at empowering the youth and enhancing their participation in community development. The Governor has directed the Commissioner for Youth Development, Moshood Olagunju, to implement a performance evaluation system to ensure the program's objectives are met. ​

Beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude, viewing the stipends as a means to support their families and contribute to their communities. The initiative has been hailed as a transformative step towards sustainable youth empowerment in Osun State.​

As the Imole Youth Corps continues its operations, the state government remains committed to creating more opportunities for the youth, fostering an environment conducive to growth and development.​
