Governor Fubara Notifies Rivers Speaker of Intention to Present 2025 Budget



Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has officially notified the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly of his intention to present the state’s 2025 budget to the legislature.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker, Fubara expressed his desire to deliver the budget on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:00 am, or on any other date within March 2025 that the Speaker may deem convenient.

The letter, which was made public on Tuesday, marks the beginning of the state’s budget process for the upcoming fiscal year. It reflects Fubara’s commitment to transparency and collaboration with the House of Assembly in ensuring the timely presentation and passage of the budget, a key step in planning for the state’s development.

In the letter, Governor Fubara stated, “It is my pleasure to notify you, Mr. Speaker, of my desire and intention to present the 2025 Budget to the Rivers State House of Assembly on Wednesday, 19th March, 2025 by 11am or any other date within March 2025 that you may consider convenient.”
