Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers has lavished praise on Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi, saying he will like to keep him at the club for a long time .
Describing the Super Eagles star as an irreplaceable part of his team, Rodgers says he hopes the consistent 24-year-old who has been at the club since 2017 can stay and build something unique at the club.
Ndidi has featured in more than 150 games across all competitions, delivering solid defensive performances and has scored one goal and provided an assist this season.
In Leicester city's stunning victory over Liverpool last Saturday, Ndidi was so good that new reports have linked him with moves to Real Madrid, Manchester United , Tottenham and Arsenal and Rodgers says he's aware bigger clubs will come for him in the summer.
"He's one of the top players in world football. His quality in his football is improving all the time. He is irreplaceable for us. He's fantastic for a young player,” Rodgers said in a press conference on Wednesday, February 17.
"What is pleasing as a coach, is that he wants to learn. He will improve and get better. I'm so happy he plays in my team."
The 24-year-old is also a key member of the Super Eagles squad and has made 36 appearances for the West African country.
